BENEFITS OF DANCE
What is your goal?

No one walks in with the same goal or motivation. We want to make sure we understand what yours
is and help you do the things that will reach that goal. Some goals might include:
The Social Connection
Dancing is an amazing way to meet others who are interested in the same things as you, meet new friends you can grow and have fun with or develop an interest to share with someone special. Couples who "play together" grow closer and experience more positive emotions toward each other and their relationship - PLUS it's way more fun than just going out to dinner or a movie - it's a skill that can improve your health together too!
Improved Physical Health
Dancing helps keep you physically fit and healthy but it's not only about weight loss! It’s good for your heart, lungs, and bones. It’s a fun way to stay active while increasing your strength, stamina, and flexibility. In addition, dancing encourages good posture, body awareness and control that, even as you age, can and will benefit you. All of these things combine to give you the confidence that others can spot a mile away!
Social Skills
Build your self-confidence as well as your creativity, motivation, and energy while in an environment of respect and community. Dance is tied deeply to the roots of our communities and cultures and helps build awareness and appreciation of the differences and similarities between people. These are the "soft skills" that help you win at life!
Emotional and Mental Well-being
Dancing is a proven, healthy way to improve confidence and self-esteem, alleviate stress, reduce tension, and eliminate anxiety! Expressing your feelings through movement - without having to talk about anything can give a sense of freedom both physically and physiologically. Further, dancing incorporates several brain functions at once improving memory, neural activity and chemical balance while helping reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
