Country Two-Step

Class Details

Country Two-Step is a classic partner dance known for its smooth traveling movement, steady rhythm, and fun turn patterns around the floor. Level 1 and Level 2 run at the same time, making this a great option for beginners building a strong foundation as well as dancers ready to expand their technique, confidence, and social dancing skills. Levels 1 and 2 are structured as 12-week series divided into three self-contained 4-week modules. Each month explores a new theme and starts from the basics, making it easy for new students to jump in at the beginning of any month while still benefiting from progressive instruction within that module. Level 1 Country Two-Step Perfect for beginners, this class introduces foundational timing, footwork, frame, partner connection, and basic traveling patterns. It is designed to help dancers build confidence and get comfortable moving around the floor with a partner while developing strong social dance fundamentals over time. Level 2 Country Two-Step For dancers who already know the basics and are ready for more variety and polish. In this class, you’ll develop partner connection, rhythm, timing, syncopations, floor craft, adaptability, and turn techniques while explore higher level figures requiring a greater depth of understanding in connection, frame, timing, & level 1 figures. Ready for Level 2 After completing the full 12-week Level 1 series, dancers may schedule a quick evaluation before class to be considered for Level 2 placement in that specific dance. NOTE: Progressive courses gradually layer new concepts each week and provide time to review and build muscle memory. It’s an effective way to improve as a dancer while becoming more confident, connected, and comfortable in social dancing.
