Salsa
Class Details
Salsa is a vibrant Latin partner dance known for its quick footwork, syncopated rhythms, and dynamic turn patterns. Level 1 and Level 2 run at the same time, making this a great option for beginners building a strong foundation as well as dancers ready to expand their technique, confidence, and social dancing skills. Levels 1 and 2 are structured as 12-week series divided into three self-contained 4-week modules. Each month explores a new theme and starts from the basics, making it easy for new students to jump in at the beginning of any month while still benefiting from progressive instruction within that module. Level 1 Salsa Perfect for beginners, this class introduces foundational timing, footwork, partner connection, and basic turns. It is designed to help dancers build confidence and get comfortable with the rhythm and structure of Salsa while developing strong social dance fundamentals over time. Level 2 Salsa For dancers who already know the basics and are ready for more complexity. In this class, you’ll develop: Partner Dynamics: Stronger leading/ following and frame control Musicality: Hear the beat, feel the rhythm, and dance confidently on 1 Memory & Recall: Retain longer combos and patterns Adaptability: Rotate partners to improve responsiveness Spin/Turn Technique: Sharpen balance and turn execution Stamina: Build endurance with faster music Ready for Level 2 After completing the full 12-week Level 1 series, dancers may schedule a quick evaluation before class to be considered for Level 2 placement in that specific dance. NOTE: Progressive courses gradually layer new concepts each week and provide time to review and build muscle memory. It’s an effective way to improve as a dancer while becoming more confident, connected, and comfortable in social dancing.
