Alicia has been dancing for over 23 years, with a background in competitive ballroom and training across the U.S, Europe & Cuba. Her style blends strong technique with the vibrant spirit of Latin and social dance. As the founder of Nexus SLO, she’s passionate about using dance to build confidence, connection, and community.

Luis Magana has been dancing since he was 9 yrs. old! Having competed since he was 14 and having choreographed his first Quinceañera at 16, he is now an instructor at Nexus focused on teaching Country-Western styles of dance. Beyond Nexus, he continues to grow as a dancer regularly taking classes at Nexus and competing with the Cal Poly's Ballroom team. Ready to learn technique, Luis is on the job!

Abbi Bennitt has been dancing since she was 13 years old, starting with ballet and competing ballroom styles for the Cal Poly Ballroom team, while receiving a Dance Minor. She now instructs Nexus’s beginner West Coast Swing class, choreographs wedding dances, and directs the NexGen kids camp. She loves to fill the Nexus atmosphere with laughs and learning and helps people walk on the dance floor confidently.
