Nexus SLO ("Nexus SLO," "we," "us," or "our") operates the dance studio located at 3845 S Higuera St,

Lower Level, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, and the website www.nexusslo.com. This Privacy Policy

explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you fill out a contact form, register for classes, book a private lesson, buy event tickets or gift cards, sign up for our emails, or register a child for camp, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, emergency contact information, and payment information. We also collect anything you choose to include in a message or feedback form.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This is done using cookies and similar technologies.

Information collected in person. We may collect your information at our front desk, at events, or over the phone, for example when you sign a studio policy agreement, make a purchase, or join our text messaging list.

Text Messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to receive text messages from Nexus SLO, we may send you booking confirmations, reminders, and schedule changes, as well as updates about classes, events, and promotions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final message confirming your opt-out, and no further text messages will be sent unless you opt in again. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be shared with service providers who help us deliver text messages, only for that purpose.

Email Communications

If you sign up for marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing email or by contacting us. It may take up to 5 business days for your request to take effect. We may still send you non-marketing emails about your bookings, payments, or account.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these situations:

• Service providers. We share information with companies that help us run our business. Our website is built and hosted on Wix.com, which stores the information you submit through our site and processes online bookings. Payments made online and in person at our studio are processed through Wix Payments and the Wix point-of-sale (POS) system. We also use Google Analytics to understand website traffic, and we use email and text messaging platforms to communicate with you. These providers may use your information only to provide services to us.

• Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Nexus SLO, our students, or others.

• Business transfers. If Nexus SLO is sold or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction and will remain subject to this policy.

 

Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. Some cookies are set by Wix to operate the website, and others are set by Google Analytics to measure traffic and usage. For youth programs such as our kids' dance camp, registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, and we collect only the information needed to run the program safely, such as the child's name, age, and emergency and medical contact details. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

 

Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. Payments, whether made online or in person, are processed securely through Wix Payments, and we do not store full credit or debit card numbers ourselves. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain records of consent, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

 

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing messages, by contacting us using the information below. California residents may also request information about how their personal information is shared for direct marketing purposes. We will respond to requests within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
