About the event
Cumbia is a style of Latin music that originated in Colombia and became popular throughout South America, Central America, and the United States. Often played alongside salsa, bachata and merengue it is music in 4/4 time with a heavy beat one and accentuated beats three and four, giving a loping rolling rhythm similar to "riding a horse".
