Zouk Foundations to Flow
This 90-minute workshop is designed to take you from solid Zouk fundamentals into smooth, flowing movement you can actually use on the social floor, whether you are dancing Zouk or are looking to add more flow to your Bachata movements.
We’ll begin with core essentials like basic timing, weight transfer, and connection, then build into foundational patterns such as lateral, simple turns, and playful flowing movements with your partner. From there, we’ll introduce key Zouk concepts including lead/follow communication, elasticity, and frame, helping you create movement that feels fluid and not forced.
As the class progresses, we’ll layer in more intermediate ideas like playing with the timing, body movements, and unlocking smoth head movements (for those ready for it), along with clean flowing transitions between movements. The focus throughout is on control, flow, and musicality, not just memorizing patterns.
