Service Description

This 4-week progressive class will cover the following and more. Prescription Description: Week 1: Introduction to Casino Rueda Basics - Warm-up: Dynamic stretching and cardio to prepare the body for movement. - Fundamentals: Learn the basic steps of Casino Rueda, including the Guapea and the basic partner positions. - Introduction to calls: Introduce essential calls such as "Dame" and "Enchufla" to initiate partner exchanges. - Practice: Drill basic steps and calls individually and in partners to build familiarity and coordination. Week 2: Building Blocks of Casino Rueda - Review: Recap basic steps and calls from the previous week. - Adding complexity: Introduce more intricate partner exchanges like "Dile que no" and "Vacilala" to enhance dance sequences. - Focus on timing: Emphasize the importance of timing and rhythm in executing moves accurately. - Group dynamics: Practice dancing in a group setting, synchronizing movements with other dancers in the Rueda. Week 3: Intermediate Casino Rueda Patterns - Warm-up: Dynamic stretching and body isolation exercises to improve flexibility and control. - Intermediate calls: Introduce more complex calls such as "Setenta" and "Exhibe" to diversify dance patterns. - Coordination drills: Practice coordination exercises to enhance partner communication and synchronization. - Musicality: Explore different musical elements and how they influence movement and expression in Casino Rueda. Week 4: Advanced Casino Rueda Techniques - Review and refinement: Consolidate previous learning and refine technique in executing advanced moves. - Advanced calls: Introduce challenging calls like "Siete Loco" and "Sombrero Doble" to push dancers' limits. - Partner dynamics: Focus on connection and communication between partners to achieve seamless transitions and exchanges. - Performance readiness: Prepare students for potential public performances or social dancing events to showcase their skills. Throughout the four weeks, emphasis will be placed on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can feel comfortable exploring and expressing themselves through dance. Homework assignments may include practicing basic steps and calls at home to reinforce learning outside of class. Additionally, students will be encouraged to engage with the broader dance community and attend social dance events to further develop their skills and appreciation for Casino Rueda.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations/rescheduling for all lessons must happen at least 24 hrs in advance or you will be charged the full amount. There are no refunds for pre-paid group classes, but if you have an injury or illness that won’t allow you to participate, let us know and we will give you a credit for when you can return.
