NexGen Kid's Dance Camp

 NexGen is a new and fun dance camp that teaches social dancing skills to the Next Generation!

At NexGen, we believe dancing is the vehicle to foster confidence, connection, respect and fun - one beat at a time!​

​

CONFIDENCE is the ability to feel comfortable in your own skin. Let's help the NexGen be able to dance to anything, anytime, anywhere and feel good about it.

​

Authentic CONNECTION is crucial to development - especially in a world full of screens.

​

By exposing kids to diverse cultural expressions, we learn RESPECT for each other celebrate our differences.

​

And FUN... we believe in a whole lot of it - let's laugh until our face hurts!

CAMP DATES AND INFO:

All camps will include an hour-by-hour schedule, games, choreography, play and learning!

​

• Urban: 6/12-6/16 - Includes elements of Hip Hop, breakdancing, line dancing, urban music history and musicality.

• Latin: 7/10-7/14- Includes elements of Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba and Swing, music history and musicality.

• Ballroom: 7/31-8/4 - Includes elements of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue music history and musicality.

• ALL STYLES & Performance Prep: 8/7-8/11 - Includes elements of Urban, Ballroom, Latin and will have an optional performance for families on Friday at pickup!

Time: M-F, 9AM-3PM

Age Range: 7-17

Location: Nexus Ballroom, inside the SLO Public Market

​

Cost: $300 per week

​

Attire: Comfortable, casual, exercise

​

Lunch: Students should bring their own lunch and water bottle each labeled with thier name
