Havana Nights | White Party is our biggest celebration of the year and you are invited. Join us as we celebrate four years of dance, connection, and community at Nexus SLO with a high energy night packed with live music, performances, and nonstop dancing across multiple styles.

This is a White Party. Wear your best white outfit and bring the Havana flair.

About the Voounteer Position
Volunteers will receive free entry to the event, a $60 value. In exchange, we ask that you sign up for one of the following volunteer roles and work a minimum of 2 hrs. As we get closer to the event, you will be assigned a specific timeslot if you intend to work the event on March 14th. Disclaimer: Not everyone will be guaranteed their first choice of a volunteer role, but we appreciate everyone's support and hope to allow as many people as interest to volunteer for your opportunity at a free ticket.

Expectations
Fill out the volunteer Interest Form and plan to work a minimum of 2 hrs during, before, or after the event.
Responsibilities
Front Desk Check-In:
Greet guests with a friendly welcome
Check names off the guest list and confirm tickets
Place wristbands or stamps and answer quick questions like schedule and where things are
Direct guests to the dance floor food area restrooms and seating
Best for you if you would prefer to work during the event and are excited to greet people at the door!
Food Runner:
Refill trays napkins utensils plates and drinks as needed
Carry items between food table storage area and trash bins
Wipe down and tidy the food area during the event
Let the event lead know if anything is running low
Best for you if you would prefer to work during the event and want a volunteer position that is high energy / gets you moving!
Decoration Crew (Setup):
Set up decor based on a simple plan from the event lead
Hang signs balloons lights and backdrops if applicable
Arrange tables chairs photo area and small details
Do a final walkthrough to make it look clean and intentional
Best for you if you like creative tasks and would prefer to volunteer Friday Night / Saturday Morning!
Decoration Crew (Teardown):
Take down decorations carefully and pack them for reuse
Break down tables chairs and event stations
Clean up common areas and make sure nothing is left behind
Help return the studio to its normal layout
Best for you if you plan to enjoy the entire event and can stay a little later Saturday Night!
