Sarah Miles

Sarah Miles discovered her passion for dance in college through CPSalsa, where she immersed herself in salsa and bachata. Within a year, she progressed from a student to an assistant instructor, eventually leading her own classes. After graduating in 2021, Sarah moved to Los Angeles to further hone her skills with various teams and instructors.

In early 2022, Sarah found her true calling in Brazilian Zouk. She began training under international Brazilian Zouk instructor Christina Montoya at Brazilian Zouk OC. Currently, Sarah instructs beginner-level classes at Brazilian Zouk OC alongside her partner, Brayden.

Brayden Schmidt

Brayden started dancing in highschool when he went to weekly hip-hop classes as a fun hobby outside of school. When he went to ASU he continued taking dance classes and eventually stumbled upon a beginner Salsa class offered by the school, where he discovered his love for latin dance. By 2015 he was heavily immersed in the local Salsa/Bachata dance scene.

After spending a couple years in the scene going to various events and traveling to perform with different dance teams he eventually moved back to SLO, where he got involved with CPSalsa as their instruction manager. He helped teach the students how to dance while traveling to events around the country to improve his skills, and eventually he moved to Los Angeles to continue dancing.

While there he discovered Brazilian Zouk and started training with Christina Montoya at Brazilian Zouk OC. Brayden currently teaches Zouk classes and performs with his partner, Sarah.
