About the event

is internationally recognized for his love and passion of the dance. He travels the world sharing his knowledge and culture with the people he meets. He considers Tango to be an admirable art form that expresses body, mind, spirit and soul. His clear communication and positive energy motivates and inspires passion in everyone and reflects his love and joy of life. His teaching is creative and practical focusing on subtle details. The essence of the Milongas can be felt in Eduardoís dancing and teaching. His style originates from his working and co-hosting a popular Milonga in Buenos Aires for several years. Eduardo has complemented this training with studies in various dance disciplines as well as theatre and acting,and is a continuing student of the Performing Arts. He has performed in theatres, appeared on television, and participated in various international tango festivals. He is the Creator, Director, Co-Coreographer and Co-Producer of the dinner show Tango Cafe- Una Noche Ideal, shown in the historical la Confiteria Ideal, as well as other shows. In Buenos Aires, Eduardo teaches in his private Studio in Palermo, where many other activities and projects are being produced.

There is so much more to Tango than just dancing! Kick off the evening with a free discussion group (chamuyo) with Eduardo Saucedo. Get to know him and his perspective on the music, dance, and culture of Tango. Bring your questions and enjoy the evening with this internationally renouned, master instructor from Buenos Aires. He's excited to be back, please come join in.

Continue the evening with a milonga so he can get to know us better before embarking on a weekend of classes. No cover for this social dancing event at Nexus, downstairs in the SLO Public Market, 3845 S. Higuera, San Luis Obispo.

Saturday, April 22nd at Nexus

11:00 – 12:30 am Inside Walk (all levels)

Exploring the inside walk in single and double time. The details in these fundamental elements will be of value to all levels of dancers.

12:30 am – 2:00 pm Legs!

Entrada (enter), Sacada (displace), and Gancho (hook). How to use these movments on the dance floor.

2:30 – 4:00 pm Vals

We will explore using inside and outside cadenas (rock turns) in

Saturday, April 22nd at Odd Fellows' Hall

7:00 – 10:00 Milonga

Social dancing with Linda Beekman as your DJ. Suggested $10 donation for the evening. Join us at 520 Dana St., San Luis Obispo. From Hwy 101 (north or south), exit on Marsh St. From Marsh, turn left on Nipomo St., and Dana St. is the first left after Higuera.

Sunday, April 23rd at Nexus

11:00 – 12:30 am Ocho Cortado (all levels)

Making use of the dynamic and romantic ocho cortados for all levels of dancers.

12:30 am – 2:00 pm Soltadas

Some fun combinations that break the embrace in Tango Nuevo.

2:30 – 4:00 pm Milonga

Milonga combinations for Lisa (smooth) and Traspie (syncopations).

Monday, April 24th at Nexus

8:00 – 9:30 pm Calesitas

Eduardo will finish the weekend with some Tango Salon combinations. Feel free to stay and practice until 10pm. He will also be availble that last half hour to answer any remaining questions you have from the weekend.
